Running when sick, yes or no?

Good morning from the FROZEN TUNDRA…aka my little neighborhood in Pittsburgh. The last couple of days the wind chill hovered between -5 and -30…today, the temp will be in the 30s which is like bathing suit weather compared to what we had.

I’ve been fighting a pretty nasty head cold for about a week. The kind where your nose is soooo stuffed up, you have to breathe through your mouth while you sleep, and then you wake up and your mouth is so dry you feel like you’re going to die. <—–I know you know what I’m talking about!

I always feel better after a run, but it just couldn’t bring myself to do it the past couple of days. That’s why I’m excited to lace up and head this afternoon…after several days off my legs always feel rested and I usually have a great run.

I do wonder if running when sick does more harm than good. There’s an old article on Runner’s World that tackled this question.  Alright, enough with talking about it…I’m going running NOW! See you later…have an AWESOME DAY 🙂
